A template is a message you keep. Put a variable in it and the app writes the lead’s own name, phone or email into the message as it sends.
Steps
Open your templates
In Settings, tap Manage Templates.
Start a new one
Tap the add button at the bottom, set Type to EMAIL, and give it a Title. The title is also the subject line when you send it.
Drop a variable into the message
Write the message in Content, and tap {leadName} where the lead’s name belongs. Compatible with: under the box now reads Personal Leads.
Save it
Tap Add. The template joins the list, ready for any lead.
Take it to a lead
On your leads list, tap the three dots on a lead and choose Send Template. Select Template lists everything you have written.
Check it and send
Tap your template. The email opens with it in place — read it over and tap Send, and the variables go out as that lead’s own name, phone and email.
Good to know
| Lead type | Variables |
|---|---|
| Personal leads | {leadName} · {phone} · {Email} |
| Business leads | {BusinessName} · {primaryContact} · {secondaryContact} · {primaryPhone} · {SecondaryPhone} · {BusinessAddress} |
- A template you have already sent to that lead is greyed out with a tick in Select Template, so you do not send the same one twice.
- The three dots on a template give you Edit, Duplicate and Delete; drag the handle to reorder the list.
- A lead with no email address cannot take an email template, and one with no phone number cannot take a text one.
